“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders”

You may recognize the title of the blog from the song “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” by Hillsong United. I have always loved this song. It has had so much meaning to me since becoming a Christian. It’s scary business leaving the religion you were raised in and held dear to walk with Christ. I always loved this song for its lyrics. I’ve attached the song so you can go ahead and listen to it if you’d like.

Today as we sang this song during service I found it had a whole new meaning to me. This week I’ve discovered I hadn’t given my whole life to God. Just 99%.  I never did this intentionally. I honestly kind of came as a shock to me as He revealed this to me. Once again I found it a hard pill to swallow. Many times this week I found myself praying to give all my life to Him. Every part of it. Then we sang this song during service.

“You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now”

And then this verse:

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior”

Lead me where my trust is without boarders.. Take me deeper than MY feet could ever wander..

Those words just hit me like a ton of bricks. I want to go there. To trust Him without boarder. To give 100% of my life to Him, not just 99%. For God to really guide my life and take me where my feet could never go without HIM! He is so much greater than I could ever imagine. So don’t you think my life could be so much greater by handing it all to Him instead of me trying to control any of it?
